Elite Archery’s Nick Kappers & Jason Tabansky Bring Home 3 Gold Medals At Pan-Am Championships
WEST HENRIETTA, NY Debuting in his first international archery tournament, USA’s Nick Kappers walked in with limited expectations and his New Elite Verdict and walked out with two gold medals.
Held in Santiago, Chile, the Pan Am Championships required qualification with each country sending their top archers to compete. Beating out the United State’s best-of-the-best was the first task for Elite Archery’s Nick Kappers.
While in Chile, competition was tight and the final head-to-head match against Mexico’s Miguel Becerra came down to a single point with Kappers shooting an impressive 149 to clinch individual gold against Becerra’s 148.
“This one is going to take a while to sink in. For my first international event, I did not really have any expectations other than to just do my best. Well, I did just that. I gave it everything I had and was able to bring home two gold medals; team and individual gold,” Kappers stated.
Moreover, Jason Tabansky who was also shooting the Elite Verdict competed in the Para Men’s W1 Open Division. Jason shot his way to the top of the podium, winning a gold medal for USA in a 1-point victory over his Brazil opponent.
Both shooting the Elite Verdict, the jury is in—and the Verdict along with the NEW SPX Cam and V2 Micro Mods establishes a shooting foundation that has precision control and customizable comfort built into one package.
