I am 56 yrs old and have been hunting most of my life. I am at the age where most hunters give up their bows for crossbows because of time and wear on the body. I am just too stubborn to do that. I have been hunting with a Hoyt for the last few years. I took my bow to pike county outfitters in Zebulon Ga to have it restrung and tuned up for the upcoming bow season. Long story short, while testing the bow after the tune up it suffered a catastrophic failure (no fault of the stores). It could be fixed but it scared me so bad that I would never be able to trust it again. Actually it was just the excuse I needed to purchase new equipment. Budget was not an issue and my heart was set on a Matthews…….until my buddy recommended Elite. He has one and loves it. I demoed one and man was I impressed. I expected to pay a pretty good bit for it but was pleasantly surprised that this bow was as affordable as it is. As I looked around the range inside the store most of the hunters were shooting Elite bows. Three bows were sold as they set mine up and all three were Elite. This bow is one of the most stable I have ever shot. Very quiet, smoooth, fast, and accurate.
